Princess Cut !!

Last week's royal wedding madness has no doubt produced a few million young girls who dream of becoming princesses. That fantasy also fuels the long-running magic behind most Disney fairy tales, but according to Kidada Jones, there's more to Walt's stories than that. "The characters are heroines," the designer told Style.com at the Mondrian hotel's penthouse last night. "They've endured terrible things and toughed it out. It's also about empowerment for women." Jones has invigorated the Disney Couture line over the past few years, but she was celebrating the launch of a separately branded collection called Kidada for Disney Store—the 38-piece assortment features charm bracelets, pendant necklaces, and T-shirts revolving around Disney ladies Cinderella, Snow White, Tiana, and Sleeping Beauty.

With G-rated subjects and Crumbs cupcakes, the fête was certainly family-friendly. Jones' father Quincy, sister Rashida, and mom Peggy Lipton all flew in. Naomi Campbell made a late entrance with her own mother and boyfriend in tow, and Samantha Ronson manned the DJ station while her sister Charlotte checked out the wraparound deck with the million-dollar views. "You can't imagine how proud I am," Lipton beamed. "I even had my best friend fly out from London to be here for this."
